With the residual effects of post-concussion syndrome gripping his mind, Chris Nine emerged. With this newly fragmented identity Chris Nine approached his guitar, his sound, and life through a different lens and with new drive and purpose. Navigating this mental fog and confronting the shadows of his past, “the Heavy” was summoned.

Uncovering the dismantling the effects of lust and identity, “the Heavy” lends its unwavering strength and relentless power to those seemingly broken, seeking new light within the dark. Like phases of the moon each track casts light on Chris Nine’s unique perspective on rock and punk-rock sounds. Chris Nine embodies the relentless nature of rock by falling back into the habitual sounds of his past like Paramore, Rise Against and even Machine Gun Kelly to forge “the Heavy”.

Looking left at angst and right at adrenaline, Chris Nine relentlessly drives straight into the mind shattering the implications of love and the kaleidoscope of expectation. Dismantling the past, present and future of his own psyche, “the Heavy” explores the subconscious of justice and plays with the dangerous dichotomy of truth and fact.
